At
Excel Stairs
our basic staircases
are produced with solid pine treads, risers
and strings. The same format can be reproduced
in Oak, Sapele or Ash. If you have a particular
requirement there are many commercial hard
and softwoods to choose from. Look at "Timbers"
for these examples.
If price is of paramount importance we will
construct stairs with MDF treads, plywood
risers and softwood strings.
Straight flights are obviously the most
cost effective being the quickest to produce
and assemble. Cut strings are pleasing to
the eye and surprisingly good value, but
for the more adventurous among you a geometrical
staircase with curved strings and wreathed
handrail can be absolutely stunning. |
