- The heartwood colour is pale
reddish brown and resinous.
OAK
- Characteristic silver grain
figure due to broad rays.
SAPELE
AFRICAN - Heartwood
is a rich deep brown with well
defined ribbon striped figure,
grain is interlocked with a
cedar-like scent.
ASH
- Grayish-brown in colour generally
stright grained.
BLACK
WALNUT - Heartwood is
a rich purplish-black. Mostly
straight grained.
